Front Lit - These channel letters have neon or LED illumination on the interior of the letter and have a colored acrylic face on the front.
Back Lit - These channel letters have neon or LED illumination on the interior of the letter and have a clear acrylic face on the back of the letter. These letters are generally not as bright as front lit letters but the halo lighting that they give off gives a very classy appearance.
Front and Back Lit - These channel letters take advantage of both of the above styles of lighting. This way the letters have both the benefits of being bright and having an extra halo illumination effect.
Open Faced - For these style of channel letter, neon must be used. Using a clear acrylic face the skeletal neon lighting is clearly see inside the letter.
